Abidjan, May 09, 2022 (AIP) – The 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP 15) which is being held in Abidjan is raising “great hope” among the populations with regard to the important themes which will be discussed during these meetings.

Representatives of 197 countries will be present at these meetings as well as nearly 5,000 participants including actors from the public and private sector and civil society. COP 15 ends on May 20.
